Productivity Tricks
When I start a session in Claude Code or Codex, I used to give it a list of to-do items, which I have prepared somewhere in a file or in a notebook. Each item starts with a scope and the things to do. The scope is often a page, for example a landing page or editor page, and the to-do item is one action at a time: "add this thing" or "change that thing". I notice that this is token efficient, and I can better organise my time too, so that I can work on other things while it's building. When there are only one or two tasks, Claude Code tends to use brainstorming skills and start to write a spec, a plan, and implement after, which is very token-consuming for small changes. But this is less likely when there are more task items. I didn't install brainstorming skills in Codex. For the moment, I'm just experimenting with Codex and its native 'explore, build, review and fix' commands. The Codex agent rearranges tasks first, and implements the items of the same scope together, even when they are not listed together.
