Introvert

“I’m an introvert, so I’m not good at showing up.”
I just heard that from a friend, and it's a pretty common thing.
But I don’t buy it.
Self-promotion is not a personality trait. It’s a skill.
That means it can be learned, practiced, and improved.
I’ve seen this especially in sales: the best salespeople are not always the loudest ones. The good ones apply a method so naturally that people barely notice it.
Some of the best salespeople I know are introverts.
They often build trust faster, because they listen first and speak with intent.
If you want to get better at showing up without becoming someone you’re not:
- Learn a method, don’t rely on improvisation
- Practice a simple, repeatable way to introduce your work
- Focus on clarity and trust, not volume
- Make it a habit, not a personality test
Put your character aside.
Pick up a book.
Learn.
Practice.
What’s one skill you’ve been calling a “personality trait” for too long?
